Kristen’s journey began in 2005 under the guidance of Dr. Xiping Zhou at the East-West Healing Arts Institute in Madison, WI. Her natural abilities quickly stood out, earning her a year-long internship earning an additional 181 hours of advanced practicum.

 

After completing her program she accompanied her teacher and other former students to China. Here she studied Chinese Foot Reflexology in Beijing. She also had the privilege of meeting her teachers teacher who was still practicing at a Shanghai Medical Hospital. Together, they spent the day shadowing the doctor as he saw a variety of patience. It was a transformative experience to witness both eastern and western modalities being used seamlessly in emergency, long term and outpatient care.

Kristen has worked alongside another top acupuncturist Robert Fox and within some of the most well-known spas in Wisconsin, including The Knickerbocker Hotel Salon & Spa, Kings Head Salon, and Jasmine Salon & Spa in Lake Geneva. These experiences enriched her technical skills and deepened her commitment to client-centered care.

In 2014, Kristen launched her first business, Healing Hands, offering chair massage in casinos and wellness services in Shorewood, WI. Her time in the fast-paced casino environment fueled her love for chair massage and showed her the power of offering calm in even the most unexpected places.

When the world shifted during the COVID-19 pandemic, Kristen took a step back from bodywork and explored a new chapter in traveling sales — gaining fresh perspective and inspiration. After a year of travel her heart called her back to her roots: healing, connection, and creating something of her own.

This calling led to the creation of Shining Wellness seeing clients in a traditional office setting and soon after, Ignite Wellness was born — bringing wellness into daily life through workplace and events with chair massage, meditation, and lifestyle education.

Body contouring came into Kristen’s life through a lifelong friend who reintroduced her to the growing world of non-invasive aesthetic treatments. Kristen already had a passion for lymphatic massage and assisting pre and post cosmetic and medical surgery clients. So after doing extensive research and completing advanced training and certification courses, Kristen felt inspired to bring these services to her own wellness community — and Body Contouring LLC was born.

Kristen has a strong vision: to offer effective, supportive, and body-positive contouring services that empower clients to feel more connected, confident, and at home in their own skin. Her approach is rooted in the belief that bodywork and aesthetics can coexist with self-love — and that enhancing your natural shape should never come at the cost of honoring the body you already have.

Kristen blends science and intuition across all of her businesses — creating spaces where clients reconnect with their bodies, release what no longer serves them, and embrace a more grounded, empowered version of themselves.
